The community provides family support services including:
- Individual/Family support
- Housing assistance: Emergency housing, rent assistance and transitional housing
- Settlement Services
- Family & Youth counseling
- Job search/Resumes
- Translation Services
- Conflict Resolution
- Community referral service & outreaches
Advocacy.
- All other appropriate services needed by the community
We have several programs such as weekend learning activities for the children, all-ages soccer program, summer recreational activities and community festivals.
Our philosophy and commitment to high standards of services, which respect the integrity and dignity of the individual, has resulted in continuous success and growth for the community at large.
Family Support & Crisis Intervention Program:
The primary goal of this program is to promote preventive measures to combat family violence and breakdown.
The program provides practical and emotional support to victims of family violence through crisis prevention and safety planning.
The program had the following four major parts:
- Community outreach and education
- Educational/Information Workshops
- Direct service
- Parenting
Bafaw and service programs are available to all and everyone residing and/or working in the City of Milwaukee regardless of race, religion, colour, creed, sex, age, gender, social status, or ethnic origin.
